These films collapse the space between wanting someone and consuming them: love interests who are also hunters, vampires who court before they kill, and captors who mistake obsession for devotion. Again and again, intimacy becomes a trap—seduction is the bait, and the gothic trappings (curses, covens, transformations) just formalize what's really a story about being stalked by someone's desire. Even the more grounded thrillers here follow the same current, treating romantic and sexual longing as something with teeth.
