These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Cinnamon DB (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Cinnamon DB is a movie discovery and recommendation service. It surfaces films based on emotional and thematic similarity, alongside genre, cast, and keyword browsing. Movie data, artwork, and cast information are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB). Cinnamon DB is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by TMDB, and does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any third-party data it displays.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when creating an account, and let us know if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk-extract, or systematically copy data from the Service.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the underlying scoring or matching methodology for competitive use.

4. Intellectual property

The Cinnamon DB name, design, emotional scoring system, and recommendation logic are the property of Cinnamon DB. Movie titles, artwork, and related content displayed through the Service remain the property of their respective rights holders and are used via TMDB under its API terms. Your favorites, watchlist selections, and other account data remain associated with your account and are not sold or licensed to third parties.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that recommendations will meet your expectations, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that third-party data displayed through the Service is accurate or current.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cinnamon DB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
