Irreverent Rebels Against the System
These are less about smashing the system than sneaking around it with a smile: outsiders, misfits, and mismatched pairs (a publicist and a mental patient, a filmmaker and a gangster, an immigrant and an eccentric mentor) who find real affection in absurd circumstances. The rebellion here is gentle and character-driven, expressed through mistaken identities, body swaps, and cultural collisions rather than anger, and it almost always resolves in warmth, self-discovery, or unlikely friendship instead of triumph over authority.
