This grouping actually clusters around ordinary jobs caught in extraordinary pressure -- a postman, delivery men, a bicycle courier, an undercover cop -- whose work becomes the pressure point where obsession, betrayal, or violence breaks through. Even the espionage and crime entries frame their protagonists less as heroes than as laborers doing a task under false pretenses, where the job itself is the trap. What recurs isn't class politics so much as the texture of duty performed under deception, watched closely enough that the mundane tips into paranoia or spectacle.
