Monsters Born From Man's Own Making
The recurring engine here isn't the supernatural itself but human tampering: scientists, doctors, soldiers, and hobbyists reach into forbidden territory — bioweapons, cursed tech, mad experiments, atomic fallout — and the resulting threat is always traceable back to someone's ambition or negligence. Even the folkloric entries (werewolves, undead, fairy-tale ghouls) get reframed through that same lens of man-made consequence, where paranoia about who caused this rivals fear of the creature itself. The dread is less about the monster's teeth than the guilty hands that built or unleashed it.
